Introduction

One of the greatest questions every human being asks is, "Why am I here?" Many spend years pursuing wealth, education, popularity or success, yet still feel empty because they have never discovered God's purpose for their lives.

The Bible teaches that our existence is not an accident. We are not products of chance. God deliberately created every person with intention, value and purpose. Life only finds its fullest meaning when it is lived according to the Creator's design.

Today we will discover why God created us and how we can fulfil His purpose.

Sermon Body

1. You Were Created by God's Design

Genesis 1:26-27

God did not create humanity carelessly. Unlike the rest of creation, man was made in the image of God.

Being made in God's image means we were created to reflect His character, love, righteousness, wisdom and authority on earth.

Psalm 139 tells us that God formed every part of us before birth. Every ability, personality, gift and opportunity has been given intentionally.

Application

Stop comparing yourself with others.

Stop believing you are a mistake.

God created you exactly as He intended for His purpose.

2. You Were Created for God's Glory

Isaiah 43:7

"Everyone... whom I have created for my glory."

The highest purpose of life is not personal success but God's glory.

Whether we work, study, lead a family, serve in ministry or conduct business, our lives should point people to God.

Jesus said,

"Let your light so shine before men..."

Our gifts are not for self-promotion but for God's honour.

Illustration

The moon has no light of its own.

It reflects the light of the sun.

Likewise, believers are called to reflect Christ to the world.

3. You Were Created for Relationship with God

When God created Adam, He walked with him in the garden.

God desired fellowship before anything else.

Sin broke that relationship.

Since the fall, mankind has searched for fulfilment through possessions, pleasure and power.

Yet nothing can replace fellowship with God.

Jesus came to restore that broken relationship through His death and resurrection.

Without Christ, a person may be successful yet remain spiritually empty.

Application

Your greatest need is not more money.

It is a restored relationship with your Creator.

4. You Were Created to Serve Others

Ephesians 2:10

God prepared good works for every believer.

Every Christian has spiritual gifts, talents and opportunities to bless others.

Some are called to preach.

Others teach.

Some encourage.

Some lead.

Some give generously.

Some show mercy.

No gift is insignificant.

The Kingdom of God advances when every believer faithfully fulfils their assignment.

The human body functions because every part performs its role.

When one part refuses to function, the whole body suffers.

Likewise, every believer has a place in God's Kingdom.

5. You Were Created to Bear Fruit

Jesus declared,

"I have chosen you... that ye should go and bring forth fruit."

God desires lives that produce lasting spiritual results.

The fruit God seeks includes:

• Christlike character.

• Winning souls.

• Discipling others.

• Good works.

• Loving service.

• Faithfulness.

• Obedience.

A fruitful Christian leaves an eternal impact.

6. You Were Created for Eternal Fellowship

Life on earth is temporary.

Our ultimate destination is eternity.

God's purpose extends beyond this present world.

Those who know Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with Him.

Those who reject Him will face eternal separation.

Therefore, the greatest fulfilment of life's purpose begins with salvation through Jesus Christ.

Conclusion

God did not create you merely to exist.

He created you to know Him, glorify Him, serve Him and impact others for His Kingdom.

Many people spend their entire lives pursuing temporary achievements while neglecting God's eternal purpose.

Today, God calls us to return to His original design. Through Jesus Christ, our purpose can be restored. When we surrender our lives to Him, we discover the joy, peace and fulfilment that only living for God can bring.

Choose today to live intentionally for the One who created you.
